Mission
In partnership with parents and community stakeholders, our mission is to form Saints and Scholars who know, love, and serve Jesus and serve others.
Core Values
Ss. Robert and William Catholic School’s Core Values represent CARES. These rooted
principles serve to guide our school community.
Christ-centered
We are made in God’s image and called to reflect God’s teaching in our lives through our words and actions.
Accountable
We are made for each other. We are accountable to one another and responsible for the impact of our decisions.
Reimagining
As good as we are, we can always get better, reimagining God’s world as it could be, not as it is.
Empowering
We will empower students, staff, and parents to achieve more and to do more good in the world.
Significance
God has created us to be Christ in the world to others. We will pursue our purpose as we live a meaningful and productive life.
Philosophy
Ss. Robert and William Catholic School recognizes that it is part of the broader mission of Ss. Robert and William and St. John of the Cross Catholic Parishes. This parish school is supported and enabled by two faith-filled and faithful communities to perpetuate the mission of the Catholic Church on earth.
We believe that every person is a unique creation of God, is redeemed through Jesus, and is filled with the Holy Spirit. We believe that Catholic education begins, as with life, in the heart of the family. Parents, the primary educators, instill and nourish values deeply human and deeply spiritual. With the parents, we are committed to each child′s total education: spiritual, physical, intellectual, social, and emotional. We believe that by proclaiming, celebrating, and living the message of Jesus, we lead each child to a deeper sense of self-acceptance, love of God, and love of others. We believe that by integrating religious truths and values with the entire educational program, Ss. Robert and William Catholic School students develop a sense of commitment to parish community, to peace and justice, and to respect for life and the environment of a distinctly Catholic manner.
Beliefs
Working in partnership with the parishes of St. John of the Cross and Ss. Robert & William, and the parents of our students, our school endeavors to prepare students to be productive citizens and followers of Christ in the 21st Century.
We believe…
- Each student is a child of God and therefore a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs.
- Students need to not only demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but also need to be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.
- Students learn in different ways. Curriculum and instruction should incorporate a variety of learning activities to accommodate differences in learning styles.
- Student’s self-esteem is enhanced by positive relationships and mutual respect among and between students and staff.
